Kate began her yoga journey ten years ago, and ever since it has been a key component to discovering truth and living a healthy and fulfilled life. Kate believes yoga allows us to truly look within and break down the barriers we build up for ourselves leading us to understand our true essence and giving us the strength and confidence to achieve our dreams. Kate is passionate about the physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual benefits of yoga and is eager to share that with each of her students. Kate’s teaching style is gentle and fun with subtle challenging variations and always consciously paced so the students have time to get into and understand the pose. From a majority of Kate’s classes you can expect influences from Kundalini yoga, a combination of powerful and transformational breathwork, meditation, a rhythmic and subtly challenging flow, and deep stretching. Kate received her certification in the Himalayas of Northern India and is 200-hr Yoga Alliance Certified in Ashtanga Vinyasa.
In her search for improved strength, flexibility and balance, Pia found yoga in 2011. She began to practice Hatha yoga every now and then and tried the Bikram method and Yin yoga a few times, but it wasn’t until she experienced Bhakti that she truly fell in love with the yoga practice and philosophy. In May 2014 she was invited to participate in a six week intensive Yoga Alliance RYT 200 Yoga Teacher Training in Truckee California, the place she’s called home for the past 10 years. In searching for a more meaningful and consistent practice, she claims yoga found her and has given her the opportunity to share her love for yoga with others. Alongside her dear teacher, Shaelah Morris, and each teacher around her, she keeps finding expansion and new horizons in her own practice while sharing her yoga experiences with others in her grounding and calming offerings. Pia enjoys the endless learning opportunities that yoga offers on the mat as well as away from it. She finds peace in meditation and breathing practices and strives to stay connected with the foundation and alignment of asana. She feels blessed to be in this path of self discovery and intimate connection with the divine inside and for the chance to create and hold an inviting and loving space for others, new and experienced practitioners. She strongly believes in opening her heart to new possibilities and perspectives for a better understanding of the world by constantly proclaiming: Why Not…?
I’m Abby Jacob and I love yoga. I love to practice and I love to teach. This practice has been a path of self actualization, ultimately uniting me to source love. Yoga has allowed me to see myself through a higher perspective and a clear lens. Before yoga I went about my days operating from my unconscious mind and emotions. As I showed up, practiced, sweated, cried, inverted and chanted the light began to shine, true illumination came forth. What was once a cruel world was now a place of endless possibilities. What was once self limiting beliefs is now self love. What was once struggle is now ease. Thank you y oga, I am forever grateful and transformed.I am endlessly inspired by my favorite teachers Rusty Wells, Janet Stone, Shaelah Morris, Mike Richardson and Melissa Martinez. I earned my YTT 200 hours with Shaelah Morris at Studio Tahoe in 2014 and have been spreading the Bhakti love ever since. I teach a devotional practice through chanting, pranayama, and asana. I challenge my students to their edge while holding a safe space for their exploration. Join me in the journey of self discovery and mastery.

I began practicing yoga in 2003 as a way to relieve pain and tension in my body from years of board sports injuries. My partner at the time begged me to come to yoga class for over 3 years before I finally went. After that first yoga class, I realized I had finally found what I had been looking for all along. I began a consistent yoga practice. What unfolded during that process became something much deeper, and redefined my life, in every possible way. Since then, I have dedicated myself to the deeper understandings of yoga; through practice, study and teaching. The classes I teach are Bhakti Flow, Vinyasa based, focused on breath, and movement. Each class ranges from mild to vigorous, the choice is always yours. Teaching yoga was a natural transition for me to share the practice of yoga with others. I truly believe that there is a place for yoga in everyone’s life, regardless your of age, size, strength, flexibility or beliefs.
My philosophy is simple; show up. Not just on the mat, but in life. Be present, be humble, practice yoga, honor yourself, and see what unfolds. My greatest teachers are the students that dedicate themselves to the practice of yoga and are open to the process. I am always truly humbled by the individuals that climb onto the mat and open themselves to anything. It is a constant reminder that we are all students in this life, together. I continue my studies with many teachers, but predominately with Rusty Wells, Stephanie Snyder, Shaelah Morris and Janet Stone. I always offer deep gratitude to all my teachers past, present, and those yet to come.
I was raised right here in beautiful Lake Tahoe where I grew up as an ambitious competitive skier. I found a daily yoga practice in the last couple years and have fallen in love with it. I began practicing for the physical benefits but soon found a deeper connection. My passion for yoga took me to the California high desert to do my 200-hr teacher training. I hope to share my passion and enthusiasm with all who are seeking.
My classes are grounded in an alignment based vinyasa flow geared towards all levels and capabilities. Linking breathe to movement lets you escape the chatter of the mind and sink deep into a moving meditation. With intention based classes I hold space for all who wish to practice and gain a deeper connection with mind, body and soul. I invite you to come play on your mat with me and embrace your own path.
