944758_624106247635524_1797297520_nI’ve never taken a yoga class before. How do I start?

We all had to start somewhere so come on in. Apres Ski Flow, Mellow Morning Flow and Sunrise Flow are a great place to start as a tight athelte or someone new to yoga. Bhakti Flow is open to all levels as well but is more challanging. Check out our online schedule or call the studio for information on the classes. Arrive to class 15 minutes ahead of time to get yourself set up and registered for class, or even better sign up online.  Click here to register now.

Do I need to check in before class, make a reservation for class, or can I just show up?

Yes, you always need to check in for class. This means stop by our lovely front desk and let us know you are here, smile and say hi each time you attend class even if you make a reservation online. If you can’t attend class but signed up online, not to worry, you will not be charged for class unless you attend. No need to call or email. When you are not checked in at the front desk, you are not charged.  Click here  for more information on reserving a class online.

How do I choose which type of Yoga to try?

Mellow Morning Flow, and Sunrise Flow and Empower Hour are great places to start. It is a good idea to try several different styles to see what resonates with you. While most classes are suitable for all levels, Apres Ski Flow and Mellow Morning Flow are perfect for beginners.

What if I just can’t do a pose?

No problem! At one time in our early lives we couldn’t walk and through practice we got there. The teacher will offer different variations of the poses so that everyone can benefit and each time you come to class you will learn a little bit more. Remember there is no such thing as not being “good” at yoga. Simply do you best, rest when you need to rest and take it easy on yourself. This is a lifelong journey and over time you will see improvements and perhaps work up to it over time.

Which pass should I get?

We know that everyone has a different schedule in life and have a variety of passes. If you are new to Yoga Studio Tahoe start with our Intro Special.  This will give you unlimited yoga for 30 days. If you plan on coming to yoga two or more times a week on a regular basis the best value is the month unlimited pass. Click here for information on our memberships and passes.

Can I transfer or freeze my membership?

Memberships are non-freezable, non-refundable and nontransferable. Once you commit to our amazing discounted monthly auto-pays, we hold you to your contract. If you want to leave your contact, we will charge you the difference for the saving you had over the course of the pervious months, and you can buy out of your contract.

What if I get injured and can’t practice?

We have classes that are designed to heal and restore the body. It is especially important to keep your practice up even when you are injured.  There is nothing more important than keeping your practice going.
